What to Expect

Jupiter Electrical will happily provide customers with a free, no obligation fixed cost quote or accurate estimate for their project. In general a site visit or an electrical/HVAC plan will be necessary before a quote or estimate is given, however a job/site description or site photos may be adequate. On large scale projects that require a significant research element, a charge may apply but the customer will be notified.

All materials supplied and installed by Jupiter Electrical are backed by manufacturer’s warranties of not less than one year.

As Master Electrician Quality Assured Contractors, Jupiter Electrical can also provide extra assurance to customers with a twelve month workmanship guarantee covering remedial labour and replacement materials up to the value of $20,000.

Unless otherwise arranged, invoices are due seven days after being sent. Payment can be made by bank transfer, or online by all major debit/credit cards (with service provider fee of 3.25%). Initial deposits may be required for quoted projects with parts and materials of significant cost. Progress payments may be required for ongoing projects.

The minimum charge is $170 + GST which includes the first hour. Labour is then charged at $95 + GST per hour.

Following the first hour, labour is allocated in 15 minute intervals.

Labour may be charged when work is conducted off-site such as job planning or collection of materials.

The minimum site charge covers all travel costs to sites within 30km of Jupiter Electrical in Mangawhai.

If additional travel is required, time may be charged at the standard labour rate and mileage may be charged at $1.50 + GST per kilometre.

The certification fee is $30 + GST and is charged whenever a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) or Electrical Safety Certificate (ESC) is issued.

All prescribed electrical work legally requires testing and certification in line with current legislation and standards. Jupiter Electrical proudly uses top of the line testing equipment and certification software, while also ensuring staff have a comprehensive knowledge of current legislation and standards, and appropriate training for any electrical equipment being installed. This fee covers the cost of maintaining this service.

Standard business operating hours are 8am - 4:30pm Mon-Fri

On a case by case basis after hours service may be available where there is a serious health and safety risk, or a significant loss of business occurring.

The minimum after hours charge is $285 + GST which includes the first hour. After hours labour is then charged at $165 + GST per hour.

Emergency callouts on public and statutory holidays will incur an additional fee of $400 + GST.

We freely acknowledge that both the use of electricity and the supply, installation, and replacement of electrical wiring and devices has an environmental impact.

Jupiter Electrical continues to incorporate more eco friendly practices such as environmentally conscious electrical design and the selection of products that are more energy-efficient and that produce less waste or environmental impact during the manufacturing and retail process.

Any refuse or recyclables brought onto site by Jupiter Electrical will be responsibly sorted and then delivered to Mahurangi Wastebusters without any additional charge.

However, where waste or recyclables not brought onto site by Jupiter Electrical are collected or removed from sites on behalf of clients or customers and then responsibly disposed of, an additional charge may apply.
